Doomed! I know it’s a What came first, the chicken or the egg situation. Businesses are reluctant to expand because the market has no money to buy. But maybe if companies took their money and hired people, there’d be more money to buy stuff? You know, private sector stimulus, or investment. Well, they’d rather speculate than invest.
Funny how the Teabagger leaders actually love Socialism when it involves handouts to their personal wallets. Then again, that self-interest is a large part why the Republicans can never cut spending significantly — not without destroying Social Security — and, too, such a large part of the budget is still the Pentagon.
